Host a Men's BBQ Shop-Class at your church

The Men’s BBQ Shop-Class is put on by Pastor Zach Bauer with Red Door Church. Along with church planting and pastoring, Zach is an award-winning BBQ Competitor and Pitmaster. Pastor Zach has a passion to help strengthen and equip the local church. This Men’s BBQ Class is a great way to engage and encourage the men in your congregation. The Shop-Class will teach you how to create mouth watering BBQ and engage men spiritually.
The Men’s BBQ Shop-Class will share award-winning recipes, techniques and step-by-step instructions, Zach & Holy Smokes Team use, when they compete. During the 3-hour course, you will learn first-hand how to prepare and cook some of these amazing meats: Brisket, Pork Butt, Ribs, Pork Loin, and Chicken.
The class will cover each step including: selection of meats, trimming and seasoning the various cuts, fire building and control, cooking and completion temperatures, smoke techniques, BBQ gear, and carving/serving of the final product.
SHOP CLASS INCLUDES:
3 hour in-depth instruction and interactive demonstration in grills, wood, meat prep and cooking.

Class is in Session
Every single Shop Class is led by Zach Bauer and the Holy Smokes BBQ team. Holy Smokes team brings years of barbecuing experience to the table, making the Shop Class a truly unique experience. You’ll be able to pick their brains and learn their tips and tricks, from prep to plate. They'll sharpen your skills, and give you an interactive and entertaining evening.
When you arrive the fires will be lit and, after a short introduction, we will begin prepping the various meats. We will taste the items being cooked throughout our time.
Along with the barbecue lessons, you will also hear Pastor Zach’s testimony about God’s incredible grace in his life. The Shop-Class is designed to engage and connect with men. Men are a strategic force for change in the world, and they have an enemy, and it’s not what we think. It’s apathy. It is the appeal of inaction that lies within every man’s heart. Men need interaction with others, and especially other men.
While the culture would attempt to silence the voice of men by attacking their masculinity, and exaggerating male short-comings. We believe men are a strategic audience and force for change in the world and that God ordained men with power, authority and the opportunity to define the world around them.
The Shop-Class is a tool to help your church engage and connect with men. This will provide a space to build relationships and learn practical grilling skills.
Cost?
Our desire is to provide an affordable event for every size church. We ask for churches to gather at least 15 men but no more than 50.
The cost is $30/ per-person
The price includes all bbq supplies, table snacks, smoked meat to prep and eat (one of the following: pork butt, chicken, loin, ribs), + each attendee receives a Free BBQ Log Book, Free pouch of Hog Heave Dry Rub, + 3 hour step-by-step instructions, and an evening with other dudes!
