Peach Bourbon BBQ Sauce Recipe


1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup onion, finely chopped
3-1/2 cups peeled, diced peaches or frozen
4-5 tablespoons bourbon
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons ketchup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • In a large saucepan combined together the vegetable oil and the finely chopped onion. Simmer over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes. Stir in the rest of the ingredients, one at a time and stirring after each addition. Turn the heat down to medium and simmer for 15-18 minutes, stirring often to prevent sticking.

  • Use your sauce immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week
